What is Halal?

“Halal” is simply the Islamic word for permitted or legal. As such, halal foods are defined as those foods that are allowed to be eaten according to Islamic Sharia law. A food is considered halal if it complies with a religious ritual and adheres to Sharia law.

As one of the foremost Halal Certification bodies in India, we are delighted to introduce ourselves. It is our commitment to deliver excellence in consultations, issuing Halal Compliance Certifications, Independent Auditing & Monitoring systems and promoting other acceptable products and services in compliance with shariah (law). We strive to ensure that customers, companies, and service providers receive benefits from lawful and Shariah-compliant operations.

What is Halal certification?

Foods that have been certified as safe are guaranteed to be free of prohibited ingredients, due to the certification process. Halal certificates are issued by certifying bodies for a fee. The validity is up to 3 years.

Halal certificates are not issued once-and-for-all; they must be renewed each year. They conduct the initial audits with the certification body in two stages, Stage One audit and Stage Two audit, following the application for the audit to the certification body. In three years of the certification cycle, the certification body conducts two surveillance audits over one-year intervals. Following the successful completion of the audit, the certification body issues the certificate of validity for one year. Every year for a period of three years, a regular audit will be conducted. The certification process will continue after the completion of three audit cycles.

The Halal certification process

Halal certification in India allows all products that have received a Halal certification to be sold. The following products meet the above requirements and are healthy and safe to consume.

This certification is introduced by a recognized Islamic Organization, Halal certification in India, which builds consumers’ trust in halal products and makes them more relaxed about the food’s auspiciousness.

As a consequence of Halal certification, food manufacturers can claim that their products meet Halal requirements according to Shariah Law. The other thing to mention is that Halal certified products are not only acceptable at the domestic

level, but are also accepted and spread internationally as well. It is important to note that Muslim consumers are able to drink, eat, or use Halal products.

For sure, Halal Certification will give them the opportunity to sell their products in export markets that will not accept non-halal products. With regards to halal certification on food, it demonstrates the quality of hygiene, cleanliness, nutrition as well as being processed in accordance with the Islamic dietary laws, thus being welcomed not only by Muslims, but also by non-Muslims.

As a result, halal certification trademark registration in India plays a huge marketing role in the international arena of halal certification. The Halal trademark comes into play when halal products are aimed at penetrating Muslim countries in marketing the product. Food products that are intended for export or import will benefit greatly from Halal Certification.
